Powering the Future of Cyber Security: Ostra Expands Funding and Acquires Blackwell

We’re excited to share two major updates shaping the future of Ostra Security.

First, we’ve extended our Series A funding to $9.5 million. The round is co-led by General Catalyst and Rally Ventures, with continued support from long-time investment partner Jeff Cowan at CapitalFour. This new capital will help us scale our platform, grow our team, and deliver more value to the businesses we protect every day.

Second, we’ve officially acquired Blackwell Security, a cybersecurity company known for its advanced managed detection and response (MDR) platform and deep technical expertise. By integrating Blackwell’s platform, Pulse, into our service model, we are accelerating our ability to deliver complete, outcome-driven protection to the organizations we serve.

Together, these milestones represent a major leap forward in our mission to help growing companies defend themselves without the internal burden of managing complex stacks, costly tools, or unclear results.

You will also notice something else: our name has changed. Ostra Cybersecurity is now Ostra Security.
